Tiffany Windows, Marble Staircase, and the Ghost of Pancho Villa

Wednesday October 12, 2005
Where else can you encounter a headless ghost rumored to be the ghost of Pancho Villa while admiring an elegant hotel lobby complete with Tiffany windows? Well, if you head very far south in Arizona, past the mining town of Bisbee and into the little town of Douglas, you will be in for a surprise. For in Douglas, the Historic Gadsden Hotel is to be found. The spacious main lobby is majestically set with a solid white Italian marble staircase and four soaring marble columns. An authentic Tiffany stained glass mural extends forty-two feet across one wall of the massive mezzanine. A stay at the Gadsden is a trip back to the wild, wild west and a chance to meet up with the ghost of Pancho Villa!
