Specialty Travel Resources for Women

What a great idea. Frommer's has come up with a listing of special tips, tours and books for women travelers. While we are in the midst of compiling a similar list for women traveling the Southwest, I thought this was a great start. Learn about such sites as "Gutsy Women Travel" and a "reverse finishing school… we makes girls out of women." Me? I'm headed for Utah to hike with a woman friend who runs Walking Tater Tours. The name? Well, it's a long story. She runs great walking tours for women and men, but women find her tours comfortable as they are predictable, well-run and geared toward safety and inclusiveness. Oh yes, if you don't like Willy Nelson's "On the Road Again," you might want to turn your audio off when visiting her website.
