If Fuel Economy Were Modernized, What Would Life Look Like?

Tuesday May 23, 2006
Into my in-box floated a fascinating calculator. I plugged in the make and model of my car, how much I pay for gas and how many miles I drive each year. I pushed the button and found out, among other things, how much I would save if fuel economy measures were implemented, how global warming might be affected, and what I could do to speed the modernization process up a little but. This MPG calculator is courtesy of the Sierra Club and it's a real eye-opener. Try it and see what I mean. Oh yes, eight of us are riding together and sharing fuel expenses on our little jaunt to Utah (see below).
