Dealing with Sleep Numbers in the Arizona Pinewoods

Wednesday August 16, 2006
I'm on the road in Flagstaff, Arizona and spent the night at the Radisson Woodlands Hotel. It was right on Route 66, was very comfortable and had in-room high speed wireless Internet. It also had a techno-bed, a Sleep NumberŪ Bed which I had to figure out before turning in for the night. I had heard those annoying Sleep NumberŪ ads for years and here was my chance to find out what they were all about. I did reduce the hardness factor by 10 as the controls were easy to figure out. I slept well, but found the crisp white duvet covers and down pillows to be more of a draw than the techno-bed. Having slept well, I am off to walk the "Mother Road," weather permitting, of course!
