Skywalk or No Skywalk, Grand Canyon West is Awesome!

Thursday March 22, 2007
After working on my photographs from Tuesday's VIP Grand Opening at the Grand Canyon West Skywalk, I realized that the real star of this event was the Canyon. The views from the rocky edge of Grand Canyon West were unobstructed by fences or chains (no safety barriers!). Grand Canyon West is different from the Grand Canyon National Park. The views across the Canyon are not as vast and the vista down to the river is amazing. The Skybridge provides visitors with a thrilling way to look deep into the canyon. I have heard that Grand Canyon West provides other ways to view the beautiful canyon: Scenic helicopter rides, picnics on the edge, hiking and river rafting. The Skywalk is just the beginning of what you may experience at Grand Canyon West.

Enjoy our Photos of the Canyon's Edge and the Grand Opening of the Skywalk.

The Skywalk opens to the public on March 28th, but the Canyon area is open now!
