That Roswell Alien Theme Park is Back in the News Again

Wednesday May 30, 2007
We haven't heard much about Roswell New Mexico's proposed Alien Theme Park, but lately it's all over the news. We've been keeping tabs on the development of the park and look forward to the dream becoming a fun reality. So, I was hoping that there was something earth-shaking (pun intended) to report. I got in touch with Bryan Temmer, the mastermind behind the Alien Apex Resort and he said a couple of things are noteworthy: The Roswell newspaper has a recent article highlighting some progress on the park: "The park, dubbed Alien Apex Resort, could open as early as 2010. The city has received a $245,000 legislative appropriation for initial planning, but the park would be privately built and managed. Requests for proposals will be advertised next month. The proposed park initially will cover 60 to 80 acres with room to expand to 150 acres. It will feature other rides and attractions, including an exhibit hall with information on scientific exploration of the universe."
