Balloon Events Fill the Winter Sky With Color - Gallup's Red Rock Balloon Rally is Next

Last December, I had the pleasure of flying in a hot air balloon over and on the Red Rocks near Gallup, New Mexico. Gallup's Red Rock Balloon Rally is a smaller gathering but it's a whole lot of fun! The 27th Annual Red Rock Balloon Rally will take place Friday Nov 30, Saturday Dec. 1st, and Sunday Dec. 2nd, 2007. Enjoy seeing the colorful balloons hopping from one canyon to the next over the red rocks. Hikers on the top of the rocks often come so close to the balloon baskets they can touch them. It's a Balloon festival unlike any other.

At night we enjoyed a fantastic Balloon Glow followed by Native American dancing around a bonfire. So consider heading to Gallup for this very special event. You won't regret it! Full Event Information.
