Another Hidden Treasure of the Southwest - Arizona's Rock Art Ranch

Sunday May 18, 2008
Imagine driving down a dirt road not far from Winslow, being invited to view a private collection of Anasazi artifacts and then following the ranch owner down the road, through the gate with a sign warning, "Close Gate - Cows Eat Cars," and heading over to the rim of a beautiful canyon.

What most come to see at the ranch is Rock Art Canyon, a beautiful wooded canyon with a stream running through it. On the walls are impressive Anazazi petroglyphs. The owner has built stairs down into the canyon and, on the rim, an observation station where you can rest or have a picnic meal. Full Profile of Rock Art Ranch.
