When some think of Scottsdale, Arizona they think of golf, upscale resorts, classic car shows and shopping 'til you drop. But for those in the know, the equestrian culture of Scottsdale is a tremendous draw. Here's what's coming up for horse lovers:

• Show Circuit All Breed Horse Show (Sept. 13) – Sponsored by the Arizona Pinto Horse Association, guests take in the glory of a variety of breeds such as Pintos, Saddlebreds, Fresians and more. www.sundustaz.com
• Scottsdale Classic Futurity & Quarter Horse Show (Oct. 2-8): Scottsdale Classic Futurity & Quarter Horse Show will feature more than 1,000 horses competing for more than $200,000 in money and awards. The event takes place at WestWorld and is free to all attendees.
• Ponies of the Americas Horse Show (Nov. 8th) – This horse show takes place at WestWorld and is perfect for entertaining the kids with exhibits on Western riding, horsemanship and reining. www.poac.org
