Consider a Guest Ranch Staycation in the Southwest

Friday September 19, 2008
It used to be that I would eagerly anticipate the release of travel brochures to such far away places as Costa Rica and Alpine Europe. But with the dollar the way it is, my pocketbook the way it is and the gas prices, many of us look for places to go closer to home that provide an equally unique experience.

So when I received word of Arizona’s Hidden Meadow Ranch, a luxury dude ranch in the White Mountains, and a special promotion the ranch is currently running, I was intrigued. “Staycations” – or getting away for a vacation without traveling far – have been a hot trend this year with gas prices soaring in recent months. Hidden Meadow Ranch is making staycationing even easier for and more affordable for southwesterners (or anyone) by offering a free ride to the Ranch with its “Great Gas Getaway” promotion. Starting now, when guests book reservations to stay at the Ranch between October 15 and December 15, 2008, Hidden Meadow Ranch will pay for the gas with a $75.00 credit.

That's really the highest gas credit I have seen lately and Hidden Meadow Ranch sounds like a great place to go to get away from it all. Ranch Website. List of Southwest Dude Ranches.
