Canyon Road Historical Paint-Out Festival Saturday October 18, 2008 in Santa Fe

Friday October 3, 2008
Here's another reason for art lovers to gather in Santa Fe this Fall. On Saturday the 18th, on Canyon Road from Paseo to Palace and on Delgado Street, the artists of Canyon Road will be painting, sculpting and exhibiting their work for visitors. From 10 am-3:30 pm, everone will celebrate the history and art of famed Canyon Road.

The Historic Canyon Road Paint Out and Festival has been created to remind us all how Santa Fe's infamous art scene was in its early days. The days when artists would paint right on the streets of Santa Fe and art lovers could mingle amongst them, speak to them and discuss the art they were creating. Each year, starting in 2008, this will be re-created. Canyon Road Galleries Website.

This is a wonderful idea! There is only one Canyon Road after all! Thank you to all who are sponsoring and to those who conceived of the idea! Wish we could be there…

Yet another useless community event that turns the fine art of Canyon Road galleries into a Disney craft fair for fat people and cretins.
