Las Vegas Doesn't Have to Be Expensive - Free and Cheap in Las Vegas

Sunday October 26, 2008
Everywhere we go, we hear that tourism is down because of the general decline in the economy. However, if you keep an eye out, there are ways to tour without spending much money.

Last night as we finished dinner, my friend said, "Let's walk back to the hotel." And we did. We both had our walking shoes on and enjoyed a mild evening walking and gawking along the famous Las Vegas Strip. We stopped to enjoy the magnificent sound, light and dancing fountain show at The Bellagio and headed down to watch the volcano erupt at The Mirage. But alas, it was closed for renovation.

There are tons of free things to do in Vegas and when you get tired, take a break and eat on the cheap at McDonalds.

I was recently in Vegas with my sister and to keep expenses down we shared entrees and hit McDonalds a couple of times. We also spent plenty of time gawking and did a little shopping. I got an Ann Taylor bag for a great deal!
