Red Rock Balloon Rally and Much More December 5th, 6th and 7th in Gallup, New Mexico

I'm a fan of Gallup, New Mexico. Friends ask, "Why Gallup?" Well, because there are some fantastic events in Gallup, great shopping for Indian jewelry and a history that will take you back to the "Wild West." To start with, the Red Rock Balloon Rally is coming up. The Rally is held the first full weekend in December in Gallup, New Mexico. It attracts over 200 hot air balloons from all around the world. And, throughout the year, there are some great things to do and sights to see. Gallup has been a destination since the heydays of Route 66. In fact there are still vestiges of old Route 66 days in Gallup. It's worth a visit.
