By Elizabeth R. Rose, About.com

May 6 2007
Jerome Home Tour

The Paseo de Casas, held on the third weekend of May every year, the tour offers a chance to see a sampling of the unique and beautiful homes of Jerome. There are typically between eight and ten homes on the tour and shuttles run between the stops. The Saturday and Sunday, self-paced tour begins near the ticket booth on Main Street, beneath the old Jerome Town Hall, where you will board continuously running shuttles.

Located high on top of Cleopatra Hill (5,200 feet) between Prescott and Flagstaff, Arizona is the historic copper mining town of Jerome. Jerome was a copper mining camp, growing from a settlement of tents into a roaring mining community. Once a virtual ghost town, Jerome is now a scenic tourist destination overlooking a beautiful valley.

Admission: Adults $12.00, Children 12 and under $6.00, Children two and under free.
Hours: 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Shuttles operate from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
More Info: Christine Barag 928-634-5477, Jerome Chamber of Commerce.
