1. Lake Pleasant - Phoenix
Lake Pleasant Regional Park covers a total of over 23,000 acres of desert. The park has a visitors' center that provides information regarding the history of the lake, the construction of the Waddell Dam and the surrounding areas. Frequent special events are hosted by the park. You may hear or see the wild burros when you are at Lake Pleasant.
2. Saguaro Lake - Phoenix
Saguaro Lake was formed as the Stewart Mountain Dam was built on the Salt River as part of the Salt River Project. The lake is part of the Tonto National Forest. The lake is surrounded by beautiful jagged rocks and forests of Saguaro.
