We were touring Gallup and had the pleasure of visiting Perry Null Trading. He trades directly with the Indian artisans and knows them all by name. The trading post has a great display of authentic Indian jewelry and art. You can shop online with Perry Null and select a gift that is authentic, well-described and sure to please. He even has an eBay store with some great selections.
Paolo Soleri's Cosanti Garden Bells
A visit to the Cosanti Bronze Foundary is a bit like stepping back into the 60’s. According to the Cosanti website, the foundry, in Paradise Valley, Arizona is the residence and sculpture studio of Paolo Soleri and his staff. Soleri (later joined by his students) began work on the experimental buildings in the mid 1950’s. The bells support Soleri's work at Arcosanti and can be ordered online.
