As we headed for Red Rock Country, with the usual Red Rock Pass ($5) hanging from the rear view mirror of our 4 wheel drive truck, we bounced down rocky roads until we arrived at a clearing. Several other vehicles were there so it seemed like a good place to park, sort our gear, and take off by foot.
