Where is Westgate City Center?:
Westgate City Center, anchored by Jobing.com Arena and University of Phoenix Stadium off Loop 101 and Glendale Avenue, is bringing 6.5 million square feet of shops, restaurants, offices, theaters and residential units to Glendale (near Phoenix, Arizona) in a formerly agricultural area. Map
Great little shops like The Fossil, Quicksilver, and Margaritaville make Westgate's open air mall fun to stroll. The project's centerpiece is a 60,000-gallon fountain, modeled after the landmark Bellagio water feature along the Las Vegas Strip. Westgate sports bright color schemes, including mint green and burnt orange, which took their cues from Miami's chic South Beach district.
There is a 4,000 seat AMC theater at Westgate. And, of course, the Jobing.com Arena is there providing sports and entertainment year round.
The first hotel, a Four Star Renaissance Hotel
and attached convention center recently opened. Others will follow.
Looking to attract those loving the urban lifestyle, Westgate City Center has built sleek urban townhouses and chic apartments. The Quarter at Westgate
features 171 airy, loft-like townhouses. The Alexan Westgate
apartment community is now available for lease.

Westgate City Center - From Cotton Fields to Chic Urban Entertainment Village:
The growth in the West Valley of Phoenix is amazing to watch. First we watched as the space-ship like Cardinal's Stadium grew from the dusty fields off the Loop 101. Next, the stadium was sponsored by the University of Phoenix and the name was changed. Then shoppers and sportsmen flocked to the grand opening of Cabela's, complete with indoor trout pond and a Disneyland-like taxidermy display.
And now, Scottsdale is being given a run for its money with the vibrant urban Westgate City Center, a totally created entertainment and shopping village built on, you guessed it, dusty old cotton fields. Its exciting to experience the energy and creativity. And, we hope the Bellagio-like fountain will keep the dust down!
