Dare the Bridge at Royal Gorge

Royal Gorge View Colorado

Hikers enjoy the view of Colorado's Royal Gorge.

Just wait 'till you experience the awe-inspiring panoramic views of the Gorge from the world's highest suspension bridge that hangs 1,053 feet high and spans a quarter mile across the canyon! And there are more eye-popping thrills with the world's longest single-span aerial tram and more head-spinning chills with the steepest incline railway on the planet. There is something for everyone at the Royal Gorge Park.

My choice leans toward the natural side of things. We were thrilled with hiking that led us along the rim of the Gorge. Afterwards we walked the bridge and enjoyed an ice cream at the amusement park.
