Tucsons signature event, the Tucson Culinary Festival, will take place this year on October 23-26th , 2008 at two local locations. The annual celebration presented by The Tucson Originals is a four-day festival of food and wine events showcasing the flavors of Tucson that help give the Old Pueblo its sense of place. Now in its sixth year, the festival has grown to include some of the culinary worlds brightest stars. This years special guests include Chef Norman Van Aken (www.normans.com) and Master Mixologist Tony Abou-Ganim (www.themodernmixologist.com) both have appeared on many popular shows including Top Chef and Iron Chef America. Returning to Tucson for a second year are Mr. and Mrs. Cocktail, Ann and Paul Tuennerman. Ann Tuennerman is the founder of Tales of the Cocktail, (talesofthecocktail.com) an annual culinary festival celebrating the history of the cocktail in New Orleans.
The Tucson Culinary Festival was established in 2002 by the Tucson Originals (Tucson's leading group of independent restaurants www.tucsonoriginals.com).
