From muscle cars to hot rods, classics to concepts, demand for collector cars is reaching all-time highs. Yet even with all this interest there are only a handful of prestigious car auctions nationwide and even fewer that offer access to the average car enthusiast.
In fact, the increased interest in classic cars has led many large auctions to be more selective in accepting cars into their auctions and frequently many cars are turned away. Car enthusiasts Nancy White and Joe Schott took note of the number of consigners being declined inclusion in car auctions around the country and formed Classic Carriages LLC to meet this need.
Entrepreneurial Pair Create Perfect Partnership
White and Schott, who serve as Classic Carriages’ co-founders, launched the company in 2006. Both are avid car collectors who travel the world to various car shows and auctions. It was through one of these auctions where the duo connected and was able to turn passion into a new career.
Their combined business backgrounds make them a powerful match in the competitive auction business. White spent the past 30 years in various types of investments and the business community in California. Schott, a resident of Glendale, Ariz. since 1951, has held executive positions in a number of industries throughout his career including manufacturing, land developer, brokerage firms and computer software.
