Downtown Phoenix First Friday Art Walk
Enjoy Art and Music

Downtown Phoenix's First Friday Art Walk, which began in 1994, is now the largest monthly art walk in the United States.

On the first Friday of every month, from 6-10 p.m., more than 100 art and music venues open their doors to the public. Galleries welcome a steady stream of art lovers, cafés offer discounts, street vendors ply their wares, and a sense of neighborhood abounds. The Art Walk's route stretches several blocks, from Indian School Road to Buchanan Street, and from 12th Street to 17th Ave., and four shuttle bus routes transport onlookers to the various art galleries.

A good place to start at the Phoenix Public Library, located just south of McDowell Road on Central Avenue. Map

Stop inside to get a First Friday brochure, that includes all the member galleries, their locations in the downtown Phoenix area, and the best shuttle bus route that will get you out and about!
