The Riordans Civilize Flagstaff
The Riordans didnt complain about the lack of cultural activities in Flagstaff and then leave. They were well-educated cultured people who decided to improve the quality of life for all in Flagstaff. They played a central role in the establishment of Coconino County and the building of the Court House, they supported the founding of the Northern Arizona Normal School, and statehood for Arizona. The Riordons also built nearby Lake Mary and opened it to the public.
