Grand Canyon Railway Fall Sunset ServiceWhen was the last time you took the time to watch the sunset? Grand Canyon Railway is inviting you to make time this fall for the adults only Sunset Limited.
The exclusive afternoon excursion train will depart in the fall on its way through the changing seasons to an engagement with a Grand Canyon sunset. Passengers will travel in the comfort of First Class streamliner-era stainless steel rail cars to the South Rim. Upon arrival, guests will enjoy an exclusive motorcoach tour to witness the setting sun from the worlds most spectacular backdrop - the Grand Canyon. After dark, guests will make the return trip under a blanket of stars while enjoying a variety of hot hors doeuvres and appetizers along with a full bar.
A Romantic Way to Visit the Grand Canyon
Passengers will truly feel as though theyve been transported to another time during this first class event. It will provide the essential ingredients for a couples getaway - nostalgia and romance, said Angela Berrigan, vice president of sales and marketing for Grand Canyon Railway.
Grand Canyon Railway first got the idea to host a Sunset Limited in the summer of 2005, when guests of the daily passenger train overwhelmingly (71 percent) said theyd enjoy something a little more exclusive that incorporates a Grand Canyon sunset.
Adults Only on this Limited Capacity Train
Each Sunset Limited passenger train will transport 150 people and because of the drastically changing time of Arizona sunsets, the train will only run September 7, 9, 15, 22 & 29, and October 6th. The Railway further enhanced exclusivity by making The Sunset Limited an adults-only train, with everyone age 17 and up welcome aboard.
