From a visit to the old west to extreme skiing, there is something for everyone in the Southwest during February.
Every February, the annual Tucson Gem & Mineral Shows attracts the best minerals, jewelry, lapidary and publication dealers from across the USA and beyond to Downtown Tucson and the Tucson Convention Center. They boast the best exhibits, the best dealers and even the best children’s events with dinosaurs, special opportunities just for children. Kids get the chance to step into the world of minerals to learn how all those colors and shapes come to be and why through educational and hands-on fun.

Parada del Sol, Scottsdale, Arizona is a month-long celebration culminating in a magnificent parade and five action-packed professional rodeo performances. You can go shopping and just enjoy the delights of the Arabian horse farms. It is an outing for the horse afficionado or just for a person that is curious about what is going on.
