Nick's Place - A very important Route 66 location.

Nick's Place is located at 111 Fourth Street SW, Albuquerque, New Mexico 87102. The phone number is 505-242-8369. Nick's is located at a very important corner. At this very unique place in downtown Albuquerque, Route 66 crosses itself. The old alignment (pre 1937) turned north to Santa Fe after crossing the Pecos River in Santa Rosa and then headed south, running through Albuquerque on 4th Street. The newer alignment went straight west from Santa Rosa running into downtown Albuquerque on Central Street. This picture shows the intersection of 4th Street and Central Street in downtown Albuquerque. So our meal at Nick's outdoor cafe took place at a very historic spot!
