The demand for tickets to Super Bowl XLII greatly exceeded the ability to accommodate the majority of fans interested in attending. Most tickets are made available through the two teams competing in the game, and to a lesser extent through each of the other NFL teams. Remaining tickets for the general public were made available through a random drawing.

Superbowl Parking and Transportation
The Host Committee recently launched a new section on its website, featuring the most recent parking and transportation information as it relates to Super Bowl XLII. The information will continue to be updated as Super Bowl XLII nears; it can be accessed by going to www.azsuperbowl.com, clicking on Visitor Info and then Transportation. Numerous interactive maps are also available.
Super Bowl Parties and Special Events
Even if you aren't attending the actual Super Bowl, you can enjoy lots of activities other than the big game itself.
Dozens of events are staged each year during Super Bowl week as well as in the months leading up to it. Some of them are handled by the NFL, like the NFL Experience, Taste of the NFL, and Game Day Hospitality, and some will be locally hosted by the Arizona Super Bowl XLII Host Committee. When the big game comes to Glendale this February, Westgate will be at the center of the party, hosting football-related block party events as well as sponsor and corporate exhibitions. From Thursday, January 31 to Sunday, February 3, Westgate City Center will be the home for parades, fireworks, live music, and much more. All events at Westgate during this week are FREE to enter. On Super Bowl eve, The family-friendly hoops event will include an explosive slam dunk contest with world-renowned streetballers, a pre-game kickoff performance, an entertaining half-time show, interactive games, and chances to win Super Bowl XLII tickets and NFL merchandise. Spectators will also have an opportunity to meet, greet, and obtain free autographs and photographs from their favorite football heroes and celebrities.
